The At-Risk Facilitator Training workshop is specifically designed to equip individuals with the fundamental tools to effectively instruct (but not limited -to), marginalized youth in urban communities. This interactive workshop is a beneficial tool to enhance the knowledge base and skill-set of all individuals who work with youth. This includes youth groups leaders, program coordinators, program directors, and the like. At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the characteristics and challenges of at-risk youth
  • Apply training techniques to conduct effective at-risk youth group discussions
  • Design engaging lesson plans utilizing the five-essential building block formula
  • Successfully connect and interact with at-risk learners while creating a safe environment
  • Implement behavior remediation strategies to maintain control in a group setting
