About The Founder

Louis Guiden Jr., is the Founder of GuidenU4Life. He has built a solid reputation for community mobilization, organizational capacity building, and intervention strategies reaching the growing population of at-risk youth. Acknowledged as a subject matter expert in the field of juvenile delinquency, GuidenU4life has been contracted with a number of juvenile facilities in the Puget Sound, including Green Hill School, Woodinville Treatment Center, Oakridge Group, Touchstone, King County Adult Regional Justice Center and King County Juvenile Detention Center. Further validating Mr. Guiden’s expertise in this field, he was recognized in 2010 by the National Gang Crime Research Center in Chicago for his contribution to gang prevention, intervention, and research.

Through this work, Mr. Guiden has built a solid reputation for community mobilization, organizational capacity building, and intervention strategies reaching the growing population of incarcerated males of color. In addition to his other achievements, Mr. Guiden is a Professional Development Trainer with a degree in Human Services & Youth Development from Highline College, a Certified Gang Specialist and Gang Counselor, a highly regarded Motivational Speaker, Certified Life Coach, , Certified Aggressive Replacement Trainer, and a Certified Peer Counselor. He has delivered consulting services to organizations such as Department of Labor, OJJDP, Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission, Washington State Juvenile Rehabilitation Administration, King County Juvenile Court, Washington State Mentors, The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, the University of Washington, The Seattle Pacific University, Highline College, The City of Tacoma Gang Reduction Project, City of Seattle Youth Violence Initiative, Tacoma Public Schools, Franklin Pierce School District, Federal Way Public Schools, Faith-Based Gang Intervention, The School to Prison Pipeline Symposium and the National Mentoring Partnership’s Summit. It is, however, his ability to speak to, relate to, and transform the lives of young people that is his greatest gift and highest goal.
